JOI - Java for OpenInsight - LicensingJOI is licensed per seat, whether a Development seat or a Runtime seat. This is a different model from the traditional Revelation product, but remember, JOI is a new product, targeted at the Java world, where installation and pricing is on a per-seat basis.The licensing works in the following manner: a user is defined as an IP address accessing the OpenEngine. For example, if a site has purchased a Single User license, and a user comes in on IP Address 192.168.101.1, they count as the single user. If another user, at IP address 192.168.101.2 tries to access the data, they will not be able to access the data and will receive a message to the effect that the maximum number of users has been exceeded. The JOI licensing also has to abide by the number of users installed on the OpenEngine, or on the Arev.exe. So, if a site has purchased a three-user license for JOI, but has only a single user license for Arev or OpenEngine, only one user will be able to connect.
